Mood boards

I had to create a mood board for a certain game called vampire bloodlines and i had to either look via internet or magazines for ideas such as a destroyed building on gears of war 2 but using that on bloodlines to make a building where vampires could use as a base or just a gang.

With my mood board i also decided to also find some characters like some knights and vampire slaves I still need to find a good enough character that looks abit like the main characters in the game I was looking at Alex mercer from |prototype| game and other characters such as alex the main character's firend and last but not least the bad guy i was looking at some knights from a game called circle of fire.

Consoles and their networks

As many people know the xbox networks mostly are dependant on host some one who's internet connection is the sole provider of the match as many advantages this has for the host it also has many downsides such as, if the host leaves it game disconnects and every one looses there game and score and not forgetting the fun in the gamejust because the host has something to do or eat or maybe cannot take getting killed to often or loose.

Im not tryin to encourage people to buy a xbox 360 or playstation 3 both a good and bad points.

The playstation 3's networks are provided by supercomputer server in whearhouses and cooled every day while the playstation's connection, if free and there are many more games coming out for it in future and depending on either the player or customer has friends that have a xbox they dont have much choice since the xbox was rushed to get into shops for sale.

I have an xbox 360 because I wanted to see what was the hype about halo 3 and gears of war and gears of war 2 plus the fact that nearly all of my friends I know have xbox 360's plus there are some good games out there for it.

My personal opinion is that i would rather spend 100-600 pounds paying for computer parts and with some one putting it together its cheeper and overall better because with the maximum of a thousand pond even though when u hear that you will think "im not paying that!" but think how much in so many years do u spend on a xbox 360 and a playstation 3 over time when you can have a computer which that can play games like crysis with no problem.

College and bitflims

In college we watched many bitflims made by independant animators who made their animations in their professtional way to impress judges and the people watching and also to show off their work maybe some of them wanted to get jobs as animators or become intagrated into a bigger animation company such as PIXAR.

Animaters also can have a big role in game development like cinimatic scenesfor the game in certain parts or lead in the game.

Darkest of days

I recently got a game off steam called darkest of days a game about where certain people like your character alxeander morris a soldier who was classed MIA in a battle back in the 1700 era where soldiers used musket guns and colt revolvers, and these people like you who work for a company called KornoTek who find people like you AKA(ghosts of time) when their whereabouts where a mistory.

Overall it is a good game i disagree with Ign.com i would give it about a 7/10 because even though I got it off steam which has certain bugs such as the mission panel crashes if I get to close and the level might just crash out of unknown error's or bugs, the gameplay is fun and additive but somewhat repetitive, the graphics they have sacrificed for gameplay and the amount of NPC's on screen one part from the game has over 100 men on each side in waves that keep coming.
They could improve they drawback distance since when looked closely trees and terain look good but far away they look blurred and static.

The ending of the game i did'nt really get it was a cliff-hanger? I dunno or the actuall end of the game but it did'nt make much sense hopefully if they make a next one it will have better gameplay/graphics allthough i thought the AI for the NPC was cleverly done.

If I got this game from a retail store mabye i would have had a better experiance of the game since many people had problems with the downloadable demo off steam overall good game worth a shot and worth the money.
